Andy issues a challenge

It could be the break London transit riders have been waiting for.

Accepting a challenge from Newstalk 1290's Andy Oudman, LTC Vice Chair, Gary Williams, and Union President Pat Hunniford,  have agreed to meet informally over coffee this afternoon.

The pair will meet at an undisclosed location at 3 o'clock to discuss the ongoing labour dispute.
 

However Hunniford stresses this isn't a negotiations meeting but rather an attempt to kick start the bargaining process.

According to the Union the top three issues hampering talks is benefits, overtime and lunch breaks.

LTC workers have been off the jobs since November 16th.
