London police officer suspended, Miranda Chant reports
A London police officer, who pulled a man from a car and punched him, has been suspended from duty while an investigation looks into his conduct.
Chief Murray Faulkner has put Constable Scott Dugdale on paid suspension.
He tells NewsTalk 1290 he did so after reading the transcript of the trial of Joel Klassen, the recipient of Dugdale's punches, who was recently acquitted of assault and resisting arrest.
The judge said he didn't believe Dugdale's testimony and urged that he be investigated.
Chief Faulkner says he's not sure how long the investigation will take.
Newstalk 1290's Miranda Chant has more on the story.
