Teen Hit by Car Suffers Serious Injuries

A 79 year old man is now facing a charge of careless driving after a 12 year old girl was hit by a car near Westmount Mall this morning. It happened at Wonderland and Viscount just after 9. The girl was crossing Wonderland when she was hit by a northbound car that witnesses say went through a red light.

The car then hit an eastbound LTC bus. The girl was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. She's in critical condition.
