Recycling facility plan still alive

There's still life in a proposal to build a regional recycling facility in London. The environment and transportation committee approved a revised plan that relies heavily on gas-tax revenue.

17.6 million dollars of the 22 million dollar cost of the plant would come from the gas tax. But councillor Paul VanMeerbergen says that money would be better spent fixing London roads. The rest of the cost would be borne by Waste Diversion Ontario. The plan goes to Board of Control on Wednesday.
